heat 3 TB butter and 3TB olive oil in pan. sautee 4 minced cloves of garlic, 2 cups minced onion. set aside and let this cool. combine 1 pound ground beef, 1 pound italian sausage, 1 cup milk, 1.5tsp parsley, 1 TB oregano, 2 cups of breadcrumbs, a bit of salt and pepper. knead into homogenous goop. add cooled onion/garlic/oil/butter and a cup of shredded romano cheese. re-mix. make 1" meatballs into a greased baking sheet. (bigger is fine, but will take much longer to cook--1.75" => 45 minutes). bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until cooked through.
