you want to make your own crust; it's not hard. don't tell anyone, but you need lard. 1/3 cup of just the fat, a cup of flour's where it's at. salt: teaspoon, one half. fold it together gently, don't make a gaffe. 2 tbsp water, added slowly, while mixing with a fork-- you'll think you want more but no, you dork! roll it out but briefly, you see: otherwise it gets tough & yucky. lay it in a piepan 8" round leave it sitting somewhere, (not on the ground) and stir up this other stuff that you've found: 5/4c pumpkin, 3/4c sugar. 1/2tsp salt. 1/2tsp powdered ginger plus 1tsp cinnamon, 1tsp flour, and 1/4tsp allspice & cloves--ground. now stir things all around! after which add 2 eggs beaten & mix first followed by 1c evaporated milk, 2tbsp water and 1/2tsp vanilla--stirstirstir, do your worst =) now it's time to heat that oven, to 350 it will go wrap the crust in tinfoil & fill with dry beans (yo) 10 minutes then, unwrap and fill and at 400 cook until it's time to change to 350 after 15 and til fifty (total, that is). you may need to cook some more in case it's soft, the middle & core... i leave that judgment up to you, and don't forget to drink a brew =)
